Some Ideas For Preparing Chicken

Since the cost of food is rising currently, everyone is searching for ways to spend less money for food. Don't think that cheap fast food is the answer. It isn't really that cheap and it's very bad for your health in the long run. Making meals at home is always the best way to save on food costs, and it's the best way to make sure that you and your family eat healthy meals. A nice chicken recipe is the ideal answer for what to feed your hungry clan. Chicken is nearly always one of the most inexpensive types of meat, and it's just as loaded with protein.

Also, if you don't eat the skin it is very low in fat compared to other meats. Great chicken recipes run the gamut from basic fried chicken to cold chicken salad recipe, and a limitless assortment of ideas. You could have chicken teriyaki one night and chicken spaghetti the next and not get bored with it. You could have a rosted chicken with fresh vegetables like carrots, potatoes, onion, and celery. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! I have a chicken casserole recipe dish that I love to make when my family is in the mood for a dish with Mexican flavor.

The best way to prepare chicken is to boil it, either in peaces or a whole chicken. After it is done, you need to debone it. Cook 1 lb. of pasta in the water that you boiled your chicken until done. After that, reduce the heat to low and then add two cans of chili tomatoes. Rotel tomatoes or a similar brand). You add the boiled chicken. Add about 8 ounces of soft American cheese (i.e. Velveeta or similar brand). You may also add onions, mushrooms, and other ingredients your family enjoys. Mix them together and keep it warm until it's time to eat.

I have a great recipe for chicken salad. You can use canned chicken, and you mix it with mayonnaise. Just until it is the texture you would like it to be. You can then add as many sliced almonds and/or sliced grapes that you would like. I prefer to include onions, but my daughter can't stand them. So I don't add onions when she is home from school. It is very good both ways. Also if there are any other ingredients that you personally would like to try it is totally up to you.

I think this is a very good basic chicken salad recipe. You can make a sandwich out of it, but I prefer eating it with just about any kind of cracker that I have in the house. I have not found one yet that it is not good with.
