I like to buy my figs generally online because theyare so heavy and you can get some great prices. However , sometimes I buy them from my local whole food shop, but infrequently the quality can be poor. Poor quality dried figs can be very dry and sugary. The sugar appearance is from the fructose and it's totally natural. If you want to freshen up the dried figs that have crystallised it is simple - just wash them!
I have to admit that I'd be lost without figs. They are so healthful and good for you. Fresh figs naturally are better but dried figs are still packed with nutriments.
